With this new addition to the Europa Compact Roller Garage Door range, you may have some questions. So, Europa Compact+ and Europa Compact… What’s the difference?
The Europa Compact+ is the Europa’s little brother. It has been part of the range for some time however, has been renamed with the + to set it apart from the new entry level door, the Europa Compact.
The two big differences are that Europa Compact+ has 55mm slats and is available with the full range of control options, right up to smart home integration. Comparatively the Europa Compact uses 52mm slats and is hold to run only.
The Europa Compact is designed as an entry level door at an entry level price. Europa Compact has no safety edge or control panel, consequently the door can only be operated by a hold to run rocker switch. The switch must be in sight of the door to comply with safety regulations.
Safe to use, as constant pressure is required to open or close the door and the wired rocker switch must be positioned to allow observation of the door whilst it is operating. If an obstruction occurs, release of pressure on the rocker switch instantly stops the door.
Both doors are, as their name suggests, compact, requiring just 205mm headroom up to 2350mm over box height and 250mm headroom up to 3000mm over.
