PVC STRIP AND SHEET OPTIONS
PVC STRIPS & sheets
In addition to the range of made to measure PVC strip curtains, we also hold large stocks of PVC strips and sheets, which we can supply in roll form and cut lengths to suit your individual requirements – i.e., replacement strips for PVC strip curtains or replacement panels in flexible swing doors.
The PVC is a high quality extruded material, its versatility being its high tensile strength without loss of flexibility. The PVC is also self-extinguishing and will not support combustion.
The PVC strip has rounded edges making them pedestrian friendly and once hung, only require minimal maintenance. Just a occasional clean with a detergent solution removes any dirt or grime and returns the strips to their original clarity.

RIIBBED PVC STRIPS
The unique raised ribbing on both sides of the PVC strip face give greater durability and improved strength, thus enabling the PVC to withstand repeated impact from heavy traffic such as forklift trucks.
The ribbed material increases the energy saving properties of the PVC strips by giving an interlocking effect when the strips are overlapped, and also helps prevent scratching of the PVC face, therefore retaining the clarity of the PVC for longer.
The ribbed material is compatible with most types of strip curtain suspension systems and is most commonly used with the stainless steel ‘hook-on’ system.

WELDING GRADE PVC STRIPS
Welding grade PVC strips screen out all of the hazardous UV and near UV rays associated with welding. The welding grade material has all the qualities of the standard grade, except that the colour and light transmission properties have been altered for welding applications.
Sparks generated during welding will not ignite as the PVC does not support combustion, and due to its thickness sparks will not burn through, they simply deflect away.

POLAR GRADE PVC
Polar grade material remains flexible at temperatures as low as -40C, which makes the material ideal for use in cold stores, cold rooms and temperature controlled transportation, indeed anywhere that conservation of cold air is important.
The polar grade PVC strip is available in both flat or ribbed extrusion.
PVC Sheets
The PVC sheet material is available in 2mm, 3mm, 5mm, 7mm, or 10mm thickness with standard extrusion widths being 1000mm, 1200mm, 1500mm, 1800mm or 2200mm. The sheet material can be cut down to the exact size required.
Note: Colours are also available in both 7mm and 10mm thickness and in a 1200mm wide extrusion.
HANGING SYSTEMS
STAINLESS STEEL ‘HOOK-ON’’ HANGING SYSTEM
The ‘hook-on’ system is the most popular and versatile hanging system available. Manufactured from heavy gauge stainless steel, which comprises of a universal face or underside fixing hook-on angle section and stainless steel clamp plates which are riveted to the top of each PVC strip. The unique wide hook design helps keep the strips in place and also means that there is no requirement for any costly locking system.
It is not only the simplest but the speediest of all suspension systems to install. The track is supplied ready to fix – there is no making up required and once installed the strips can be taken down for cleaning, or eventually replacing in virtually a matter of seconds.
Supporting steel work is also available when there is no lintel to fix to and/or when the curtains are being fixed in conjunction with other industrial doors – i.e., roller shutter doors or sectional overhead doors.
The strips can be overlapped to create any of the patterns below, to suit differing traffic and weather conditions, and can easily be removed in better weather when more ventilation is required and then moved back into position when more insulation is required.
MILD STEEL ‘‘BOLT-ON’’ SYSTEM
The system designed for particularly large openings or for those used by heavy traffic. The strips are clamped between two lengths of mild steel and so cannot be pulled or fall away from the opening easily, either a fixing angle or a fixing flat can be supplied for either underside or face fixing respectively, along with a clamping flat.
This system requires fabrication and finishing and therefore we require 2-3 days for despatch.
SWIVEL HINGE SYSTEM
Swivel hinge systems are highly recommended for openings where there is heavy and constant use by forklifts and others vehicles. Headrails are made to measure and come fully assembled ready to hang (Fixings not supplied). PVC strips are bolted into the hinges for max strength (Nuts/bolts supplied).
Robust design reduces the risk of damage and/or excessive wear and tear. Over the life of a curtain, this can dramatically reduce repair and replacement costs.
Takes 300mm and 400mm strip widths only.

TWIN TRACK SYSTEM
The clever rail design allows for any amount of strip overlap, so you can create very bespoke curtains. Strips are simply slid into any position along the front and back parallel grooves. It’s also ideal if you need to fit a curtain accurately within a defined/maximum width opening or room.
Rails are fixed in position with supplied universal ‘L’ shaped brackets (Fixings not supplied). These can be surface or soffit mounted. Rails come in standard lengths that can easily be ganged-up and/or cut to fit any width of opening. PVC strips come cut to length with hanging holes pre-drilled to match the supplied clamp plates (Plates come with mounting nuts/bolts supplied).
Takes 200mm 300mm & 400mm strips in a range of spec options to suit all uses.

Sliding track systems
Sliding track systems for PVC curtains are available. Our range of sliding strip curtain track and components can be applied to even the most difficult situation. Our sliding systems can accommodate both the stainless and mild steel hanging systems. We can provide you with sufficient materials to make an existing fixed curtain slide clear of your opening using as many of the existing parts as possible.
